Vertical has acquired English-speaking world rights to Bunny, a New York City–set crime thriller from first-time director Ben Jacobson that premiered at SXSW and Tribeca. The film, co-written by Jacobson, Mo Stark, and Stefan Marolachakis and produced by Sarah Sarandos, follows street hustler Bunny and his friend Dino as they attempt to cover up a dead body over a single sweltering day and night in an East Village tenement while the NYPD closes in. Featuring a cast that includes Stark, Jacobson, Liza Colby, Tony Drazan, Liz Caribel Sierra, Ajay Naidu, and Henry Czerny, Bunny was nominated for SXSW’s Grand Jury Award and will be released by Vertical on November 14, 2025, with producers and executives framing it as a bold, modern New York story and an “instant New York classic.”
